|Granite Stone River in Sorong city Forest - West Papua|
I started hiking at 14.30 and finished 17.30. The first parts of the trails consisted of hills that were covered by tall grass with some trees around. As I walked deeper into the jungle, I could see more big trees, and birds activities. As I walked along the ridge of the hills, I could watch Helmetted Fiarbird (Philemon buceroides), Yellow-faced Myna (Mino dumontii), Olive-back Sunbird (Cynniris jugularis), Olive-crowned Flowerpecker (Dicaeum pectorale), Coconut Lorikeet, Black Lory and a couple of black and white birds which I could not recognize. Perhaps, they were Hooded Butcherbird.

Sorong city has been an important gate for visitors who want to visit Raja Ampat. Most of the attraction of the archipelago is coral reef. For visitors who are interested in rainforest, Sorong can be an affordable alternative destination.
